Frühlingsfest & Ratheim Visit

It's been a fun last week of Easter holiday!

So, I thought Frühlingsfest would be flower carts and eggs and stuff. It turns out it is a big fair—with roller coasters, games, crowds, music, and food—who knew?

Me and my friend Erin! I found out (after this picture was taken) that Stuttgarter Hofbräu is a brand of beer... haha! Typical me...

This week I also got the chance to spend a few days at this beautiful house in Ratheim, Germany. The grounds were gorgeous and it was way neat to look out the windows and see a moat! The family who lives here is so nice and it was a lovely week.

There is quite a collection of exotic tree varieties on the grounds which the owners have been collecting over generations.

This kind of tree was formerly used to make long-bows.

The woods and lakes were BEAUTIFUL.

The kids loved making things with sticks chasing the ducks.

The little ones liked the playground the best. Isn't that overgrown tennis court so great?
