Views of Stuttgart

I had some time to explore Stuttgart this week: here are some of the views from around the city.

I found Helvetica, it feels so at home in German :)

You can pay this old guy in the Schlossplatz to play a game of chess with you... and there are always a lot of spectators.

I tried to explain "Pi Day" to my host family, and it ended up launching a lengthy discussion about the way we write and pronounce numbers and symbols and dates. In the end I learned that Germans pronounce pi like the letter "P" and they write the date as day/month/year and they don't have the word "pie" for a dessert, so pi day totally doesn't exist in Germany... alas.

My second kebab the same week! One of the girls recommended this kebab place to me—apparently it is THE place to get a kebab if you are a teenager in Stuttgart :)
