Weissenhofsiedlung

There is a really neat little neighborhood super close to where I live called the Weissenhofsiedlung. It was originally built in the early 20th century as a showcase for modern architecture, and includes structures by Le Corbusier, Mies Van Der Rohe, Walter Gropius, and other famous modern architects—SO cool! I got to walk through and explore it a few weeks ago, and I really enjoyed seeing how the geometric ideals of modernism held up after the passage of time and with people actually living in the structures.

I would love to see the architect's reaction to those blue plastic crates :) haha

I liked how the neighborhood included both streets and walking paths, and the houses were terraced so that each could have a view.

I think some of these buildings are really timeless.
